Person Specifications (Education, Experience & Competencies) :

Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; Proficiency in computer applications.
Purpose of the Job:

Implementing and reviewing policies, strategies, frameworks, work plans, legislation, guidelines, procedures, regulations, norms, standards and programmes for the department.
Remuneration:
Basic Salary Scale: Ksh 82,173 – Ksh 106,825 p.m. House Allowance: Ksh 10,000 p.m. Commuter Allowance: Ksh 4,000 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:
*
Implementing human resource management decisions within existing rules, regulations and procedures; Processing information relating to recruitment, promotion, leave, transfer and exit documents; Updating payroll and complement data; Maintaining accurate records of expiry of contracts, probationary periods, and acting appointments, and submitting reports for decision making; Collating and compiling training applications and staff performance appraisals; Updating the human resource management information system; Compiling agenda and minutes for the human resource advisory committee; Drafting routine correspondence; Identifying areas of risk in the department; Implementing the department's charter; Promoting Business Process Re-engineering (BPR); Implementing the business continuity plan for the department; and Fostering a corporate culture that promotes ethical practices and good corporate citizenship.
