Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: Physics, Astronomy, Astrophysics, Aeronautical/Aerospace, Remote Sensing, Geographical Information Science, Geo-Spatial Engineering, Surveying, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Control and Instrumentation, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; Proficiency in computer applications. Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
Purpose of the Job:

Implementing and reviewing policies, strategies, standards, and guidelines for space surveillance.
Remuneration:
Basic Salary Scale: Ksh 82,173 – Ksh 106,825 p.m. House Allowance: Ksh 10,000 p.m. Commuter Allowance: Ksh 4,000 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:
*
(i) Implementing policies and strategies related to Satellite Communications under supervision; (ii) Conducting basic technical assessments of stakeholder communication needs and infrastructure gaps; (iii) Compiling technical information and contribute to the drafting of simple reports or input into research papers; (iv) Coordinating activities, promoting secure and inclusive access to satellite-based communication services; (v) Undertaking the maintenance and setup of Satellite Communications infrastructure and equipment; (vi) Help coordinate data related to satellite frequency allocation and system usage; and (vii) Monitor basic operational aspects of Satellite Communications systems and assist in compiling compliance reports.
